Research Vision

Applying structural geology to understand Earth's processes and support sustainable water resources.

Why mountains?

Mountains are more than spectacular landscapes — they are geographic boundaries that shape Earth's geology, freshwater resources, biodiversity, cultures, and human history. Understanding these connections lies at the heart of my research.

Research Themes

  • Mountain building and upper-crustal deformation

  • Fracture mechanics, cataclastic flow & fractured-rock hydrogeology

  • Groundwater, water security, and climate resilience

  • Community-based and interdisciplinary Earth science
